Here's the latest quilts and bags! I introduced these at the Rusty Barn Quilting and Crafts Expo this past week here in the Seattle area. They were a huge hit. The angels are part of a new series call "Sweet Peaz" (named after my nickname for my daughter). There will be new angels, fairies and sprites coming soon!
The Cargo Purse and the Convertible Bag were also big hits!

Last weekend I went on a quilting retreat with my quilt guild. We usually have about 45+ ladies at these bi-annual retreats. It is held at a Christian Conference Center in Seabeck, Washington on the Hood Canal (a long narrow bay off Puget Sound). With the Olympic mountains across the bay and boats bobbing in the harbor, it is truly a beautiful setting. I spent the weekend designing and making 3 quilts as sample for a quilt cruise to Alaska I am teaching on in 2011. The quilts are all 28" x 40" and use a new fusible applique technique I have developed. Students will have the choice of the Bear, Ravens, or the Orca Whale to create in class. All these animals figure prominently in Northwest Native lore. The pressure was on since I had to have photo's of the samples to the cruise coordinators by today. All this was in the midst of facilitating the Pink Mini Scrapbook Silent Auction I have up on my other blog (www,followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com). Here are the photo's that I DID get in on time.
